Mr Henry Atkinson is a very approachable, professional and extremely competent surgeon. Eight weeks ago, he replaced my 73-year-old arthritic right hip. From my first meeting with him to the last, his friendly, communicative demeaner, and willingness to answer fully all my numerous questions about the procedure, put me at ease and gave me great confidence in his professional abilities and experience. This view was well founded as the operation was a great success and my recovery amazingly speedy. Marks? Definitely an 11 out of 10!

Mr Atkinson I found very patience and understanding, he explained everything in the most simplistic way which gave me confidence to move forward with my surgery. Every step of the procedure was explained in such a way that when I was face with it - it did not come as a shock. Mr Atkinson changed my life, and I am ever so grateful

I am delighted with the care I received from Mr Atkinson. His explanations of the process were clear, his friendly, easy manner made it a pleasure to be with him. I am extremely grateful for his care and attention, which has returned my mobility to me. My recovery was extremely quick despite my age, and I was able to walk about without crutches two weeks after the operation, and after the suggested six weeks was able to return to my activities on my allotment and on the lawn bowls green.

I can without doubt recommend Mr Atkinson. He is charming and explains things easily so that you are completely in control of your decision. Mr Atkinson performed an ankle fusion on me three months ago and I have not had any pain at all since the operation. I am now up and around and looking forward to Mr Atkinson doing the same surgery on my other ankle next year.

From our first meeting in 2020 about my knee OA I have felt confident and assured that I was in the hands of a very professional real expert with an excellent “ bedside manner”. I have seen Mr Atkinson on a number of occasions leading up to total hip replacement surgery (1/3/24). After 7 weeks I feel great about progress of my hip and mobility in general. Everything was explained really well and the results so far are great. Mr Atkinson and I have discussed my right knee, a more long standing OA problem. I would certainly want Mr Atkinson to carry out knee replacement surgery if and when it is necessary. I have recommended him to friends, one of whom has just had a hip replacement too.
